Freeze! (2021...)
This series was born out of contradiction. Artists are expected to seek out problems and engage with them, but I wanted something else—to find a "zero point," a state of stillness where nothing demands urgency. A space outside the constant flow of news, beyond the need to react, analyze, or refresh the feed. A place where one can simply be and observe.
These photographs are about the ability to pause amid the rush.
Children, in all times and corners of the world, find joy in the same simple things: the flow of a river, the air lifting a kite, the sunlight refracting through a piece of glass. There is no haste in their movements, no anticipation of the next step in their gaze. They exist fully, sincerely, without the need to prove anything.
These images are not about escape, but about return. To childlike spontaneity, to a world where joy needs no explanation. To what unites us, regardless of age, culture, or borders
